Michelle Morand receives BCACC Award For Communications Michelle Morand Receives Communication Award from the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.

The Communications Award “recognizes a member or an individual/organization from the media field who has provided regular, continuing or special assistance in promoting counselling and/or mental health issues in the community.

Creativity, writing skills, dedication, organizational capacity, and strong motivation to produce quality information for members, the professional community, and allied health care professions, describes the recipient of this year’s Communication Award.”

“Michelle Morand has been an RCC since 2003.  Prior to her appointment as Editor, Insights Into Clinical Counselling (IICC) she served as an active and effective member of the Region 2 Council and as a Delegate Council Representative.

As the Editor, IICC, She is responsible for receiving and critically reviewing articles of interest to mental health professionals, and working within the IICC Editorial Team. No sooner is one issue in pre-press production, the article content of the next issue is being processed. Michelle has received accolades from within and outside of our profession for her communications contributions, and we are very proud of the excellence in her work – a year-round continuous process.

She is an accomplished book author (Food Is Not The Problem: Deal With What Is!) and is a well known business entrepreneur in Victoria and Vancouver, providing workshops and seminars and services on mental health issues.
