"2. you’re hooked into a harmful story that has you fixated on a worst-case-scenario outcome and, rather than telling yourself it’s one of myriad possibilities, you’re telling yourself it’s going to happen and you need to steel yourself and prepare, hence, up comes the niggle that represents all the needs you’re telling yourself won’t be met when that worst-case-scenario thing happens."

*** Oh wow... so that's whats going on with me... I thought I had a need that wasn't being met (and probably I do) but the biggest part is #2....

Just because we don't comment doesn't mean that something you've written hasn't had a profound impact on us.

Thanks for everything.

Wow, this article really "spoke" to me as I can see myself - it's all about what we are accepting as "truth" isn't it?

Ahhh--assumptions, I was just making some big ones before I opened this email. I use them to stay safe. I tell myself all kinds of stories and those stories give me plenty of excuses to bail out of relationships/jobs/whatever without having to take responsibility for my own stuff. I think I could be crowned Assumption Queen. But I am working on it. And I never would have begun the process without your help Michelle.

Dear Michelle,
I have been following these emails for quite some time now, and I really want you to know that I really have tried to implement your tools in my life, and I am so grateful for your articles. You are truly a compassionate woman with a beautiful soul and I have a lot of respect for your willingness to give to others.
Thanks so much for being there,
Zoe
